Kazi's project management module is designed for the unique workflow of freelance projects, where you are both the project manager and the one doing the work.

Project Setup

Create a project with a name, client, budget, start date, and deadline. Define milestones to break the project into phases. Each milestone can have its own deadline, deliverables, and payment trigger — useful for projects with staged payments.

Task Management

Add tasks within each project with priorities, due dates, and status tracking. Tasks support descriptions, file attachments, and comments. Use the board view for a Kanban-style overview or the list view for detailed task management.

Time Tracking

Track time directly within tasks or at the project level. The timer runs in the background while you work, and you can add manual entries for offline work. Time entries include hourly rate information, making it easy to calculate billable hours.

Project to Invoice

When a project milestone is complete or the project wraps up, generate an invoice directly from the project page. Kazi pulls in tracked time entries and expenses, calculates totals based on your rates, and creates a draft invoice ready for review and sending.

Project Analytics

Track your project performance with built-in analytics: time spent vs. estimated, budget consumed, deadline adherence, and profitability. These insights help you quote more accurately and identify which types of projects are most profitable.
