Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out what you may and may not do on KAZI. It protects our users, our payment partners, and the integrity of the platform. By using KAZI you agree to follow this policy; breaking it can lead to suspension or termination. This AUP is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Overview & Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses KAZI ("the Platform"): account owners, their team members, and anyone they invite (such as clients paying an invoice). It covers everything you do on KAZI: content you create or upload, payments you send or collect, AI features you use, and the way you interact with our systems. It works alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.

You are responsible for your own activity and for the activity of anyone using your account. When you collect payments through KAZI, you are also responsible for ensuring your own business and customers comply with this policy and with the rules of our payment provider, Paystack.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not create, upload, store, share, or transmit content that:

  • Is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Infringes anyone's intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
  • Contains malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious or destructive code.
  • Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way. We report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the authorities.
  • Is hateful, harassing, threatening, or incites violence or discrimination against people or groups.
  • Is deceptive, fraudulent, or designed to impersonate a person or organization.
  • Discloses another person's private or confidential information without authorization ("doxxing").
  • Contains regulated adult content, or gambling, in a manner not permitted by law or by our payment partners.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use KAZI to:

  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or conduct phishing or social-engineering campaigns.
  • Commit fraud, launder money, finance terrorism, or evade sanctions or taxes.
  • Deceive customers about what they are buying, or run deceptive, "no-value", or bait-and-switch offers.
  • Harass, stalk, defraud, or harm other users, clients, or third parties.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Platform without our written permission.
  • Interfere with any other user's use of the Platform.
  • Circumvent plan limits, entitlements, usage metering, or billing.

4. Restricted & Prohibited Businesses

Because KAZI facilitates payments through Paystack, you may not use KAZI's payment, invoicing, escrow, or subscription features in connection with businesses or activities that our payment partners prohibit or restrict. These include, without limitation:

  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia.
  • Unlicensed financial services, money transmission, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, and get-rich-quick schemes.
  • Unlicensed or prohibited gambling, betting, and lotteries.
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and related regulated goods where prohibited.
  • Counterfeit goods, or goods and services that infringe intellectual property.
  • Adult services and content where not permitted by the applicable processor.
  • Human trafficking, exploitation, or any activity that endangers minors.
  • Stolen goods, hacking or cracking materials, and tools intended to bypass security or the law.
  • Products or services deceptively marketed, or prohibited by applicable law or sanctions.

This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Paystack maintains its own prohibited- and restricted-business lists, which also apply to you; if a conflict exists, the stricter rule governs. We may decline or reverse transactions and suspend accounts that fall into these categories.

5. Acceptable Use of AI Features

KAZI includes AI tools for generating text, images, audio, video, and code. When using them, you may not:

  • Generate content that is illegal, or that violates Sections 2–4 of this policy.
  • Create deceptive deepfakes, impersonations, or synthetic media intended to defraud, mislead, or harm.
  • Produce sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that exploits or endangers people.
  • Generate misinformation intended to deceive, manipulate elections, or cause public harm.
  • Attempt to bypass safety filters, extract another party's data, or reverse-engineer the underlying AI models.
  • Present AI-generated output as human-created where doing so is deceptive or legally required to be disclosed.

You are responsible for reviewing and for how you use AI output. Where you supply your own AI provider keys (BYOK), you must also comply with that provider's usage policies.

6. Payments, Invoicing & Financial Use

When using KAZI's payment, invoicing, escrow, or subscription features, you agree to:

  • Only charge for genuine goods or services you actually provide, and describe them accurately to your customers.
  • Not use KAZI to process payments on behalf of an unrelated third party (transaction laundering / factoring).
  • Honor your stated refund and delivery terms, and respond to customer disputes in good faith.
  • Comply with card-network rules, applicable financial regulations, tax obligations, and the terms of Paystack.
  • Not use the Platform to test stolen cards, generate artificial transactions, or manipulate transaction volumes.

7. Security & System Integrity

You may not:

  • Access, probe, or scan the Platform or its infrastructure without authorization.
  • Attempt to breach or bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data except through documented APIs within your plan limits.
  • Introduce automated load, denial-of-service traffic, or bots that degrade the service for others.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law.

Good-faith security research is welcome. Please report vulnerabilities responsibly (see our Security page) rather than exploiting them.

8. Data & Privacy Responsibilities

If you store or process other people's personal data on KAZI (for example your clients' details), you must have a lawful basis to do so and must handle it in line with applicable data-protection laws and our Data Processing Agreement. Do not upload data you are not authorized to hold, and do not use the Platform to surveil or profile people unlawfully.

9. Enforcement & Consequences

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including:

  • Removing or disabling access to offending content.
  • Limiting, holding, or reversing transactions or payouts.
  • Suspending or terminating accounts, with or without notice depending on severity.
  • Reporting illegal activity to law enforcement and cooperating with lawful requests.

Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy a violation, but serious or repeated violations (especially those that put customers, minors, or our payment partners at risk) may result in immediate termination.

10. Reporting Abuse

If you see content or activity that violates this policy, please report it to abuse@kazii.ai. For copyright complaints, follow the DMCA process in our Terms of Service. We review every report and act where warranted.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as the Platform, the law, or our payment partners' rules evolve. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of KAZI after a change means you accept the updated policy.
