How the free invoice generator works

Free invoice generator: common questions

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes, free to use, with no account and no trial clock. We ask for your email address once, when you download or print, and that one email unlocks downloads across every KAZI free tool on this device. Free downloads include one small "Created free with KAZI" line in the PDF footer; a free KAZI account removes it. If you later want invoices that send themselves, carry a card pay link, and chase late payers automatically, that is what a KAZI account adds; the generator itself is free forever.
Does it work for South African VAT invoices?
Yes. Set the tax rate to 15% (the South African VAT standard rate) and add your VAT number in the business details. The generator applies any discount before tax (the correct order for a valid tax invoice) and shows VAT as its own line. If you are not VAT registered, set the tax rate to 0 and the invoice simply omits VAT.
Is my invoice data uploaded or stored anywhere?
Your invoice document stays in your browser: the PDF is built on your device and is never uploaded. When you unlock a download we save your email and the business details you entered to personalise your KAZI setup: your business name, the currency, your tax settings and the invoice total as a range, plus the item count. We never save your client’s name, email or VAT number. Close the tab and the invoice itself is gone.
Which currencies does the free invoice generator support?
South African Rand (ZAR), US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Australian Dollar and Canadian Dollar, with correct currency formatting on the PDF.
How do I actually get the invoice paid faster?
Three things move the pay date most: send the invoice the moment work finishes, put a clear due date on it, and make paying take seconds. A downloaded PDF covers the first two. For the third, a free KAZI account adds a Paystack card-payment link to every invoice plus automated reminders: 85% of freelancers worldwide report being paid late at least some of the time (Remote, State of Freelance Work, 2025), and removing payment friction is the fix.
