Connecting Stripe for Payments
Stripe powers all payment processing in Kazi, enabling your clients to pay invoices instantly through multiple payment methods.
Setting Up Stripe
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Stripe and click Connect Stripe Account. You will be redirected to Stripe to authorize the connection. If you do not have a Stripe account yet, you can create one during this process — it takes about 5 minutes.
What Happens After Connecting
Once connected, every invoice you create will include a Pay Now button. When clients click it, they are taken to a secure payment page (hosted on your Kazi domain) where they can pay using their preferred method. Payments are deposited into your bank account according to your Stripe payout schedule (typically 2 business days).
Supported Payment Methods
With Stripe connected, your clients can pay via credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH bank transfers. The available methods are shown automatically based on the client's device and region.
Tax Calculation
Kazi integrates with Stripe Tax to automatically calculate and apply the correct tax rates based on your location and your client's location. Enable this in Settings > Invoices > Tax Settings and configure your tax registration details.
Troubleshooting Stripe Issues
If payments are not working, check that your Stripe account is fully verified (Stripe requires identity verification and bank account confirmation). Also ensure your Stripe API keys in Kazi are current — they can be refreshed from the integrations page.
